246th Anniversary of the
Retreat from Fort Lee

An extremely accurate representation of the chaos of retreat with the central goal of true interpretation for members of the general public to understand the sacrifices of 246 years ago. Fort Lee will be the staging point for those who arrive on Friday, the 18th. Fort Lee will be manned by the Continentals throughout the day on Saturday the 19th, up until the British attack and chaos ensues during the battle over Fort Lee. Through the whole day, soldiers will work fortifying the defenses and making last-minute barricades to the fort while civilians of both armies will do their best to share stories of the struggles of being behind or on the lines of the fighting, along with the interactive duties of laundry, cooking, writing, and various other tasks. After the public leaves, both sides pack up their camps and head out from the event at Fort Lee.
