The Brigade of the American Revolution is pleased to announce the release
of the long awaited revised Women's Clothing Guide. The publication entitled "Women's
Dress During the American Revolution: An Interpretive Guide", Rebecca
L. Fifield, Editor, ISBN 0-9708965-8-1 is now available for $15.00. Orders may
be directed to the Adjutant General's office, attention Merchandise and Sales.
The usual $4.00 shipping and handling fee will apply and as always, if ordering
via mail payment must be made via money order as no personal checks will be accepted.
The volume "Women's Dress During the American Revolution: An Interpretive Guide" is a substantial rewriting of the Brigade’s “Basic Clothing Guide for Women” and features expanded documentation of clothing items and style, updated measuring guides, detailed construction notes, interpretation considerations and many new illustrations as well as a comprehensive bibliography to women’s clothing and 18th century women’s subjects.
The book will be available at the upcoming fabric shopping trip this coming Saturday 1/28/06 and at all CCM activities this Spring. It will also be available at the School of the Soldier, April 29-30, 2006 at New Windsor Cantonment, Vails Gate, NY. Should you miss any of these dates it will be available at the sales and information table throughout the year.
