For many years this has been the NWD's favorite event, based on the attendance. It is the site of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the American Revolution and is Ohio's only Revolutionary War fort authorized by Continental Congress.
The coordinator for the event, Maj. Thomas Pieper, 23rd R.W.F., is an expert on the history of the site and has written the only comprehensive history of Fort Laurens.
We will be looking to do some different things with the schedule this year, including two tacticals per day and some new lecture/demonstrations.
We had a very nice turn-out last Summer, with a special effort from the NWD Crown units, which I hope will be repeated this coming year.
We will hold our annual general membership meeting at this event, as usual and I hope you will all plan to attend.
