…Every thing is prepairing for a great day of rejoiceing in Camp. A fu-de-joye, an illumination, and a great display of fire works will be the principal actions worthy of notice on that day.”
Lt. Benjamin Gilbert, 5th Massachusetts Regt.
As you can see, we have a full and busy weekend planned for one of the last 225th anniversaries left for us to celebrate. Consider bringing your lunch and visiting the Purple Heart Hall of Honor at noon. Due to the hospitalization of the new exhibit designer, the opening has been pushed back to 4 July, but you can see a preview of what’s to come featuring paintings by Dahl Taylor.
TAKE NOTICE!!
Parking will be across the street at the New Windsor Town site due to the Grand
Illumination and Fireworks display taking place in the field where we usually
park. Modern campers should contact Site Supervisor Mike Clark at (845) 561-1765.
