Brigade members may send images directly to the Brigade Webmaster. Please understand that not all of your submitted images may be selected for the Gallery.
By Email
Please do not email the entire contents of your camera. Be selective and send a maximum of 8 of what you consider to be your best shots of a particular event. A Zip compressed archive is preferred but just directly attaching a few images to your email is fine.
By Post
If you have a lot of images, groups of images from different events or if you simply don't want to email them, you may send a CD of images to:

You may also send photo prints but I strongly recommend you scan them and send them in digital form if at all possible.
Any media sent will not be returned unless specifically requested and accompanied with return postage. Neither I nor the Brigade of the American Revolution are responsible for lost media.
Credit and Ownership
To ensure proper credit, include the photographer's name, rank, if any, their unit, the name and year of the event(s) in which the images were taken and the names of any persons or the unit(s) pictured, if known.
Your images will likely be scaled, cropped, optimized for the web and may be edited in other ways.
The published edited images are the copyrighted property of the Brigade of the American Revolution. You retain the rights to your original unedited images.
What Won't be Published
Unless the subject has truly special significance, images that highlight anachronisms such as, modern eyewear or clothing, structures that blatantly post-date the revolution, automobiles and other modern objects will not be given consideration. In some cases, these things can be edited out. When in doubt, send it anyway but be prepared to have it rejected. One exception to this is the Firelock Matches, where modern safety glasses are required.
Images not suitable for family viewing will, of course, be rejected.
Images of combined umbrella organization events (BAR with the BB and/or CL) should have elements of the Brigade conspicuously if not predominantly featured.
Requirements for Title Images for the Home Page
The title image on the home page will change at least annually, provided there are enough submissions. Please send your submissions to the Webmaster no later than December 1st, to have them considered for the next season.
In addition to the general guidelines for gallery images above, title images for the site index page need to meet the following requirements:
1) The image should, in some way be representative of the Brigade. This is somewhat open to interpretation. When in doubt, submit it.
2) The content should be strictly Brigade of the American Revolution, no other umbrella organizations.
3) There should be room in the image for the title text, without having it obscure the subject.
Home page title images are subject to the final approval of the Brigade Adjutant.
